Job Description:

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and document clinical information accurately. Collaborate with care team to implement care plans, support resident comfort and safety and communicate effectively with families. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and facility polices while promoting a respectful, patient-centered atmosphere.

Essential Functions:

-Supervising nursing care to residents

-Complies with federal, state and facility regulations.

-Works together with all members of the team.

-Complete required charting, forms and documents up admission, transfer and/or discharge.

-Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.

-Create and maintain and atmosphere of warmth, person interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift.

Requirements

Qualifications:

-Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.

-Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in Oregon.

-Previous experience in skilled nursing (preferred).

-Current CPR certification.

-Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.

-Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing.

-Must remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing at all times.
