| Job Summary | This position is located off-campus in Lexington, KY at UKHC Turfland. Turfland Family and Community Medicine RN role is an autonomous and team-oriented role in ambulatory. This position will work with 2 other RNs performing telephone and in-person triage, IVs, sterile procedures, central line access, see patients in the nurse clinic, patient education, wound care, rooming patients, phlebotomy, injections, preventative screenings, immunizations, quality care coordination, and is integral to our quality care initiatives in Primary Care. This role is well supported and encouraged to bring new ideas and growth to an engaged team. We like to foster an environment of advocacy for our patients and community. Orientation is tailored to your individual needs and lasts about 8-10 weeks. We have free parking and 1 hr lunch with nearby dining options within walking distance. Hours are Monday Friday, no weekends, no holidays. The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease-specific patient care to patients with serious acute and/or chronic health events or seeking healthcare to maintain their wellness. The position's responsibilities include but are not limited to, skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education, and clinical evaluation or interventions. This position requires working with medical professionals under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient-centered care focus on quality, safety, and service. A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful. |
