Roxbury Central School has the following anticipated vacancy: Full-time School Nurse RCS is seeking a licensed registered nurse to begin with the 2026-2027 school year. Starting salary of $51,494 but is commensurate with experience. Benefits as per the RTA contract. The School Nurse provides comprehensive health services to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of students and staff. This role promotes a safe and healthy school environment by delivering nursing care, managing chronic health conditions, and responding to medical emergencies. The School Nurse administers medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies, maintains accurate health records, and conducts health screenings such as vision, hearing, and immunization compliance. The nurse collaborates with families, school administrators, teachers, and community health providers to develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with special medical needs. In addition, the School Nurse provides health education, disease prevention guidance, and wellness counseling to students and staff. Strong assessment skills, confidentiality, compassion, and effective communication are essential.
