Description
Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a Nurse Practitioner, Allergy to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this pediatric role, you will provide comprehensive allergy and immunology care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and management of conditions such as asthma, food and environmental allergies. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary specialists, educate patients and families, and support clinical protocols and research initiatives. Work in state-of-the-art facilities that prioritize safety, innovation, and quality, contributing to improved outcomes and advancing pediatric allergy care.Perform pediatric allergy and immunology assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
Manage chronic conditions such as asthma, food, and environmental allergies
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including allergy testing and spirometry
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
Educate patients and families on condition management, prevention, and treatment plans
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals in multidisciplinary teams
Document care accurately in the electronic health record and maintain clinical protocols
Participate in quality improvement, clinical research, and evidence-based practice initiatives
Contribute to a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous learning
Support hospital mission, policies, and pediatric patient care standards
Pediatric patient assessment
Allergy and immunology clinical management
Spirometry and pulmonary function interpretation
Allergen testing (skin prick, patch testing)
Asthma management and care planning
EHR documentation and clinical informatics
Patient and family education
Care coordination in multidisciplinary teams
Evidence-based clinical decision-making
Research and quality improvement participation
