Upson Regional Medical Center seeks a compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this patient-centered role, you’ll provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for diverse populations, collaborating closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team. You’ll leverage evidence-based practice, advanced diagnostic technologies, and electronic health records to deliver high-quality, efficient care. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical exams
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment and care plans
Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice
Provide patient and family education on conditions and care plans
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
Document care thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR)
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Coordinate referrals and transitions of care as needed
Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations
Advanced clinical assessment and diagnosis
Patient triage and care prioritization
Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging
Medication management and prescribing
Electronic Health Record (EHR) proficiency
Evidence-based clinical decision-making
Care planning and care coordination
Patient and family education
Basic life support (BLS) and ACLS skills
Infection control and universal precautions

Valid and unrestricted GA Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program
National certification (NCCPA for PA; ANCC or AANP for NP)
Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing (NP)
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification (or obtained within hire window)
DEA registration (or eligibility) for prescribing
Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
