The University of Cincinnati seeks a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to provide advanced clinical care within its Healthcare & Medical Services department. In a collaborative, research-informed environment, you will perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe treatments, and support chronic disease management. This role partners closely with physicians, students, and research teams to integrate evidence-based practice, contribute to ongoing clinical projects, and promote patient education and wellness. Conduct patient assessments and develop evidence-based care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and adjust treatment plans as needed
Prescribe medications within scope of practice and monitor therapeutic outcomes
Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and wellness strategies
Document all encounters in the electronic health record in compliance with UC and regulatory standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare and research teams on quality improvement and clinical research initiatives
Participate in teaching and mentoring of students and trainees as appropriate
Maintain compliance with institutional policies, state regulations, and professional practice guidelines

Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
National certification as NP (e.g., ANCC, AANP) or PA-C (NCCPA)
Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
BLS and ACLS certifications
Eligibility for credentialing with University of Cincinnati health system and affiliated hospitals
